All about SANDPIPER

SANDPIPER is a 2 years, 2 months old female Shepherd who weighs 26 pounds and has been with us for 86 days.

Meet sweet girl Sandpiper! She is a beautiful girl who was transferred to the SAHS in February from the Gulf Coast Humane Society and she's been working on opening up to people. Sandpiper is definitely more timid and will probably take a little while to get comfortable with you. She is a super cute pup who does well with other dogs and gets along great with the roommates she's had here. Sandpiper would love to find a home with a canine sibling to help her feel comfortable in her new surroundings and show her the ropes of her new home! Earning Sandpiper's trust might take some time, but we know it'll be so worth it to have this sweet baby as a part of your family! Sandpiper did test positive for heartworms when she arrived at our shelter, but she has already completed all of her injections and is just waiting on a re-test to be cleared for off-leash activity.
