El Rey Fido X Coronation

ERF

The 10th annual El Rey Fido Coronation was a wonderful way to celebrate a decade of fundraising and honor our 2012 El Rey Fido and Royal Court, as well as members of courts from years past.

Sir Dexter was crowned as the 10th El Rey Fido and the largest dog to ever grace the court. Summer, Princess of the Perpetual Food Bowl; Molly, Duchess of the Indestructible Chew Toy; Rhys, Duke of the Ever-Present Fire Hydrant; Texas Ranger, Keep of the Catnip; and Maggie, Maiden of the Royal Court, were also honored for their fundraising efforts and outstanding number of supporters.

Not only was this coronation a 10 year anniversary milestone, but we also had more people come out to join in the fun than ever before! Not to mention, we were surprised by a visit by Rey Feo LXIV, Richard Ojeda, and his court! Everything came together to make it a perfect morning to be downtown with your dog.

Thank you to Grand Hyatt San Antonio for your wonderful accommodations and refreshments and thank you to Rio San Antonio Cruise and Signature Ice Sculptures for your donations. As always, our event wouldn’t have been the success it was without the help from our volunteers, thank you!
