Cat Survives House Fire

Meet Glitch – the brave cat who survived a house fire and is now ready to find her forever family. Glitch is a 2-year-old girl who was brought to us in January after her family unfortunately lost their home to a fire and she found herself stuck inside the house, suffering burn injuries to all four of her paw pads from the debris. Glitch had ash stains on her fur and smelled of smoke, and she also had a cough from the smoke inhalation.

Our medical team jumped into action immediately with a diligent treatment plan including laser therapy, medicated foot baths, and nebulization treatments along with antibiotics, pain medication, and lots of extra TLC. Her paw pads have healed beautifully and she’s feeling and looking great after a month of dedicated care in our Leeu Naylor Medical Building.

We’re so happy to say that Glitch has made an amazing recovery and is now available for adoption! Despite the unfortunate circumstances that led her to our shelter, this sweet girl has never ceased to show us her loving and cuddly personality. She loves to be around people and could play with toys all day long! She has the most beautiful coat and eyes that will absolutely melt your heart. Glitch is going to be the best companion to her new forever family, so come meet her today and fall in love!
