STOICK is a 5 years, 1 month old male Domestic Shorthair/Mix cat who weighs 9 pounds and has been with us for 53 days.

Meet gentle Stoick! He is a 5-year-old domestic shorthair mix who came to us in late October after being surrendered. When he first arrived, Stoick was very timid in our kitty cottage and spent some time settling in with a kennel curtain. Slowly but surely, we began to see his sweet personality emerge. Even when he was nervous, Stoick never stopped purring for our staff. With gentle reassurance, he's shown that he has so much love to give, he just needs a little time and patience to feel safe. Once he warms up, he enjoys quiet companionship and soft affection, making him a wonderful match for a calm, understanding home. Stoick is FIV+, which means he'll need a home with a family prepared to keep him safe from potential illnesses, as his immune system is a bit weaker than that of most cats. His adopters should also understand the considerations of bringing him into a home with other cats, but with proper care, FIV cats can live long, happy lives.
