All about STEPHEN

STEPHEN is a 3 months old male Boxer/Retriever who weighs 9 pounds and has been with us for 26 days.

Meet Stephen, a wiggly 3-month-old Boxer mix who arrived in mid-November alongside his puppy siblings. They were found as strays by a Good Samaritan who brought the entire litter to us. While his other siblings have since been adopted, our team noticed that Stephen wasn't quite like his other brothers and sisters. After being placed in the care of our incredible Leeu Naylor Medical staff, Stephen underwent several tests and was diagnosed with multiple complex congenital heart conditions. Sadly, due to the nature of his defects, the surgery to correct one of his heart conditions (pulmonic stenosis) is not expected to have much of an effect and could worsen his other conditions. Because of this, our team anticipates that Stephen will have a shortened lifespan. But you would never guess this brave guy is different from the other puppies. Stephen loves to jump, play, explore, and act just like any other happy dog. His spirit is bright, joyful, and full of love. We're hoping to find Stephen a family who can give him the comfort, compassion, and unconditional love he deserves, no matter how long he may have. While we can't predict his timeline, we want to do what we can to make sure his days are filled with joy, safety, and a family to call his own this holiday season.
