Meet Princess - Small in Size, Big in Heart!
Say hello to Princess, a brave and beautiful 7-month-old Chihuahua with a heart full of love. Recently returned to our shelter due to a lifestyle change in her previous home, Princess is now searching for a forever family who can give her the care and affection she truly deserves.
While in her previous home, Princess began showing signs of weakness and lethargy in her hind legs. Concerned, her adopters consulted a veterinary neurologist who diagnosed her with hydrocephalus - a condition where fluid builds up in the brain. This condition is manageable but requires lifelong medication and consistent veterinary care with a vet and neurologist.
Princess still has some vision, though it is limited, and her condition may progress over time, potentially needing further treatment. At present, she takes daily medication that may come with some common side effects like increased thirst, urination, and appetite. We'll provide several weeks' worth of her medication to help ease the transition as you build a care plan with your own vet.
Despite her medical needs, Princess is an incredibly sweet and loving little girl. She's full of personality and has so much love to share with the right person or family.
If you're ready to open your heart to a truly special pup and provide her with the support she needs, Princess could be your perfect match. Come meet her today and see if she's the new best friend you've been waiting for!
