DOTTIE is a 8 years, 5 months old female American Pit Bull Terrier/Mix who weighs 27 pounds and has been with us for 33 days.
This sweet senior Terrier mix has been through quite the journey, but her resilient spirit shines brighter than ever! Eight-year-old Dottie was brought to us by a Good Samaritan after witnesses sadly saw her being abandoned at an H-E-B. When she arrived, she wasn't putting any weight on her back left leg, and our medical team feared she might need an amputation. Thankfully, with surgery, laser therapy, and plenty of love, her leg was repaired and now Dottie is feeling better than ever!
Dottie may be a senior, but don't let that fool you! She's a happy, playful girl who still enjoys her toys and little adventures. She's become a staff favorite in our Leeu Naylor Medical Building thanks to her beautiful smile, gentle nature, and joyful spirit. Whether she's lounging by your side or joining you on a relaxing walk, Dottie is the perfect blend of sweet and spunky.
