Meet the strong and adorable Wallace!

Meet the strong and adorable Wallace! This 10-year-old Shih Tzu mix joined us in early August after being transferred from another local shelter. Upon intake, our team noticed that Wallace appeared to be experiencing discomfort in his back leg, along with some dental issues. After further examination of his hind limbs, the medical team determined his right leg had been previously fractured, and he was in need of surgery to help him thrive!

Wallace

Thanks to our amazing team at the Leeu Naylor Medical Building, Wallace underwent a procedure called a Femoral Head Osteotomy, which is the removal of the fractured area so that a new, healthy joint may form. He also had several teeth extracted to relieve discomfort and prevent further dental issues. Now, this resilient pup is on the way to a full recovery after a few weeks of rest and healing and is ready to find his forever home!

Wallace

Wallace is the perfect companion for anyone looking for a cuddly, sweet-natured dog to lounge around with. Even with his cone and stitches, this little guy still has tons of energy as he loves to hop, run, and bark with joy! This senior pup has so much spirit and love to give, so come by and spend some time with Wallace!
