Meet Big Boss – a super strong cat

Meet Big Boss – a super strong and irresistibly cute 8-year-old cat! He was surrendered to us by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan after being found as a stray in their neighborhood at the end of January. Upon arrival, our Medical Team quickly discovered that Big Boss had a fractured wrist, was positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), required dental work, and had developed an abscess on his right hind leg.

Big Boss

To give Big Boss the best chance for a happy and healthy future, it was decided that he would need to have his right front leg amputated. Despite this major surgery, Big Boss remained in good spirits throughout his recovery. He received laser therapy treatments and other medications, and while recovering, he developed another abscess on his right hind leg. This could have been linked to his FIV status, which can make cats more prone to infections but it has been responding well to treatment while in our care.

In addition to his surgery and treatments, Big Boss also had dental work done. After some time in our Leeu Naylor Medical Building, he’s now fully recovered and ready to find his forever home!

Big Boss eating

Big Boss is an affectionate and loveable guy who loves being carried and enjoys cuddling up in your lap. His favorite pastime? Treat time, of course! He greets everyone he meets with love and affection, and he can’t wait to find his purr-fect match. Because Big Boss is FIV+, he needs to be kept indoors to protect himself from exposure to other diseases and dangers. Additionally, it’s important for his new family to establish a relationship with a veterinarian for ongoing checkups.

Come spend some time with Big Boss today and see if this sweet, handsome guy could be your new best friend forever!
