Thanks to all those who donated towards the Warmth Drive through Mission Veterinary Specialists. These amazing individuals from the Montessori School of San Antonio gathered cozy blankets, pets beds, sheets and so much more to help adoptable pets at the San Antonio Humane Society, Animal Defense League, and San Antonio Pets Alive!


A big Thank You to Romie and the employees at the Cedar Elm Post Office for all the pet supplies and the $400 donation! It's very much appreciated!

The next time you stop by the San Antonio Humane Society, please notice the gorgeous landscaping in front of our shelter! Thanks so much to the ten employees from Astellas Pharmaceutial who graciously participated in our Volunteer For A Day program on Thursday, October 16. They spent hours digging trenches, putting in river rock, and planting plants. We are forever thankful to them for the amazing landscaping they did!


We would like to thank Texas Dogs and Cats Magazine and all who participated in the Halloween Cover Model contest.  By entering their pet, they supported our mission and collectively donated a total of $410 to the shelter and care of our SAHS pets!  Thank you all so much and we look forward to seeing the October issue!


A big thanks to Boy Scout Troop 285. They made 122 leashes for our volunteer dog trainers and our staff. They are awesome and we are thrilled! Thank you so much!

Thanks to the folks from Valero for participating in our Volunteer for a Day program and for your donations. They walked and bathed 15 dogs and socialized with many of our adoptable pets. It's much appreciated!


The wonderful staff at the Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital gathered tons of donations for the SAHS! Our animals will definitely enjoy the treats, beds, blankets, etc. We appreciate your support!


The amazing kids at Camp Life love animals and wanted to help the SAHS pets by raising $365 through their Pennies for Pups campaign! They also had a Walk-a-thon and made some super cool dog toys out of t-shirts! Buddy, who’s available for adoption, wanted to meet and pawsonally thank the kids, so he made the trip with us to St. Mary’s University on Thursday, July 3. He met tons of happy campers and made sure they all had a chance to pet him. A few even made his day by rewarding him with yummy treats for sitting on command! Thank you so much to St. Mary’s University and to the Camp Life campers!


A big thank you to Rolling Oaks Dental, they donated the proceeds from selling their fiesta pins to the SAHS to help our shelter pets!

Thank you so much! 18 HEB Partners attended Volunteer for the Day on Friday, February 7th.  These representatives from Store #13 were excited and engaged even though the weather threatened to ruin the day. They socialized cats and dogs, cleaned and scrubbed puppy cages and assembled El Rey Fido ribbons.

St. Mary’s University hosted Camp Life for summer 2013. The campers organized a walk-a-thon to raise money for a charity of their choice. The San Antonio Humane Society was very fortunate to be the recipient of the nearly $650 they raised. Thank you to St. Mary’s University and to the Camp Life campers!
