Ever heard the term, never judge a book by its cover? The same can often be applied to shelter dogs. Never completely judge a shelter dog by their kennel behavior! Some dogs are simply stressed by the shelter environment, but once they are out and about it’s easy to see who they truly are. Sasha is a very gentle and sweet 7-year-old girl. She enjoys going on walks, doesn’t pull on her leash, and walks at a steady pace. She loves treats, attention, and showing off her best self (when away from the kennel).
Sasha came to the SAHS after being transferred from another rescue. Our partnerships include dozens of other shelters and rescue groups in our area. Transferring pets between shelters opens up space for more pets to be received and also helps hard-to-adopt pets find a new family in another community. The joint efforts of these collaborations and partnerships not only makes our community a more humane environment but also saves hundreds of pets who might otherwise face euthanasia due to overcrowding.
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, first set of vaccinations, microchip, de-wormer, flea and heartworm prevention, complimentary wellness exam (within 5 days of adoption) and complimentary follow-up care (within 14 days of adoption) at any VCA animal hospital , and 30 days 24PetWatch Pet Insurance.
